Most of the walk to Lost Pond is along the beach. Today we hiked during a negative tide, discovering many wonderful colors and textures in the shallows.

We made our way north along the coast from Taga'chang today, arriving at Ricky's Beach. The view of the bay is varied and colorful at these low tides.

Blue starfish often get stranded in the rocks at low tide. We found several as we walked along Asan beach. This is another in my Found on Beach series.

The twisted bark of this tree on Tagachang Beach caught my attention immediately. There were but a few green leaves sprouting above its battered trunk.

World war two era rusted metal and coral rock mingle together in the surf as they have since liberation. Rust has become a permanent part of this rock.
