The natural rock arch at Pågat is a fascinating subject to photograph. There's limited room to maneuver around the edge, so I keep trying new angles.

Guam is a wonderful place to live and explore. I document my life and exploration here with a digital camera. And I shoot nearly every day.
Potted mushrooms
Over the past few days, these mushrooms have sprouted in one of Deborah’s potted plants. Tonight, I noticed their tops now match the color of their pot.
Climbing to safety
This Yellow bittern, apparently not yet able to fly, was trying to scramble up the museum fence to the top of a tree. I saw three others in the same area.
Favorites from 2022
Documenting life and exploration on Guam has been the mission statement for my photography in 2022. Here are my twelve favorite images of the year.
The last of the light
We were walking out of the jungle when I spotted this shaft of light coming through the trees. It provided depth to an otherwise flat, green chaos.
A Sappy Closeup
While walking through the dark jungle, beams of light often break through and highlight the tiny details. In this case, I noticed a single drop of tree sap.
Spotting the small things
I sat on a rock looking for tiny things to photograph on the beach. The color and texture of this shell caught my eye eventually. Shooting macro is a joy!
Deep in the weeds
I usually take my camera to the jungle or beach without a plan. Today I photographed anything I found interesting. This was my favorite image of the trip.
Sunrise hermit crab
I had an early morning walk along the beach at Asan, finding this little guy (and many of his companions) just as the best light of the morning arrived.
